Radio Televisión Canaria

Client: Ente Público Radio Televisión Canaria Year: 2009

Channel rebranding. The channel rebranding project for Radio Televisión Canaria adopted a comprehensive system to tackle a new graphic identity for the public institution, radio and two television channels. Based on a new design and a fresh coherent brand architecture of logos and chromatic codes for each institution, an entire range of applications are generated for media and print: stationary, OB vans, microphones and basic signage.

The main element of the brand is maintained in the typographic symbol of the “C”, as with previous brand stages, and as the representative letter for the “Canarias” concept, linked to triangular shapes which evoke elements representative of the geographic features of the area: palm trees, volcanos, fish scales, waves, etc. 

Each of the companies identifies itself through one principal color: green for the primary television channel, fuchsia for the second channel and orange for the radio station. This public institution uses the colors associated with the television and the radio together with the color black as the institution which encompasses the entire range of media.
